Hi, I’m Nicole and I work in design and digital marketing in Cardiff, South Wales. During the day I work in exciting digital and print projects and by night I work as part of the roathcardiff.net team, a multi-award-winning hyperlocal news website for the residents of Roath. I’m also a social media surgeon (what’s that?) where I teach charities and non-profits how to use social media and set up their own websites.

Since 2002 I have worked with a variety of product brands ranging from furniture to food to folk instruments! My background in design and digital development means that I take a very hands-on approach to my work where I can develop brands which people will love and share. I’m passionate about making products personable, enjoyable and accessible and of course making sure they look good too!

I’m also an allotment holder over at The Dig Issue, a gardening blog which I have run since 2006. I’ve even had an article in the Guardian about it.

WordPress is my CMS of choice as it’s a flexible and highly supported platform. I have used this CMS to build company and product websites such as Crafter GuitarsEvergreen Wales, Kebelo and RoathCardiff.net

Social Media

I provide social media advice and support for music brands with news stories and media support. I also volunteer as a Social Media Surgeon for non-profits and charities in the Cardiff community.

Branding and Design

Having worked as a graphic designer since 2002 I have extensive experience in design including promotional print literature, packaging and branding. See Project work for further examples.
